Even if the economy takes a nose dive, health care and medical manufacturing are industries that are relatively sheltered, says Hart.
“They follow the demographics of the United States. And the U.S. demographics continue to have an aging population that needs more health care.” Also, while most manufacturing has been exported overseas to China, medical devices continue to be made primarily in the United States, or at least in North America, to preserve quality control. “
